World Book Day: What went on!
And with that we say goodbye to another Wold Book Day!
This one was certainly exciting and had students running all over the school in search of Wally on a school-wide Where’s Wally hunt! Over 100 students were dashing around looking for the illusive character!
Students in years 7 and 8 were given their book tokens that will allow them to receive a free book from participating retailers (See here). Don’t worry, older students can also get in on the fun with digital tokens! (See here)
Staff also got on board, reading out chunks of Roald Dahl’s ‘The Landlady’ throughout the day, keeping students on the edge of their seats!
Students were also given the chance to read outside their comfort zone with the launch of our ‘Blind Date with a Book’ Competition. Running for the next couple of weeks, students will be reviewing books chosen at near-random
